I love cats and I found so much joy in creating a safe space and environment for a cat to enjoy. It's the most rewarding feeling keeping them safe and giving them a new life in a beautiful forever home. My heart is just so big when it comes to animals.

I have a friend who adopted from Stepping stones. I wasn't aware being a foster parent to cats was a possibility. My love for animals, especially cats meant when I moved to a place where I was allowed animals, becoming a foster parent was a no brainer. i feel very fortunate to be able to share my home with cats and be part of their journey to their forever homes.

Since I lost my baby girl in February 2022, I saw a post on Facebook about fostering cats and kittens and asking my husband to help them and I have been doing fostering now for over two and a half years now. I have fostered 17 cats with kittens. I have two cats and a kitten of my own and my kitten I adopted from stepping stones, I am what they call a ' failed foster' as my kitten was from stepping stones. I love this job, as Im giving these cats and kittens a chance in life to find their forever home. I enjoy it and I will continue working with Stepping stones.

After three of my own cats passing away within six months age (13/14) in 2023, I was scared to open my heart up fully to another cat even though I still had lots of love to give. So I decided to foster but I fell in love with one of the cats and her kittens and here is their forever home now!

Fostering
At Stepping Stones Rescue & Haven, we don't have a permanent shelter. This is where our volunteers are vital, as you will make a difference to the rehabilitation of the cat before they find their forever home.
Anyone can foster, all we ask for is patience, understanding and unconditional love as many of our cats come from various different backgrounds.
Fostering really makes a difference in a cats life, keeping them safe and healthy until they are permanently adopted.
